- This canon for four voices is based on the first verses of psalm 130 („De profundis“). The translated text is as follows:
„Out of the depths I cry to you,
Lord, hear my plea.
My soul is waiting for you,
for only with you there is forgiveness.“
In the last bar, the harmony changes to F Major as a musical expression of forgiveness.
