In den letzten Monaten habe ich meine Variationen über das wunderschöne Adventslied "Maria durch ein Dornwald ging" für die Besetzung mit Alt-Saxophon und Orgel adaptiert - ab sofort sind sie als op. 2b auf MusicaNeo verfügbar. Zur Zeit bearbeite ich sie auch für eine Besetzung mit Violoncello und Klavier. Es ist spannend zu sehen, wie sich das musikalische Material und die Klangfarben in den verschiedenen Besetzungen verändern...

During the last few months, I adapted my variations on the ancient German Advent hymn "Maria durch ein Dornwald ging" to the instrumentation of alto saxophone and organ. From now on, this adaptation (op. 2b) is available on MusicaNeo. I currently prepare another version for violoncello and piano. It is very interesting and insightful to see how the music and the sound changes by these different instrumentations...
